Last night we went to pride (gay pride parade n stuff)
Jon was the dd so he only had two drinks the whole night. Well we got pulled over after dropping my friend. He passed the sobriety tests but got exactly .08 on his breath thing. The cop was new and so he felt he should arrest Jon. Well he did. They immidiately let him go at the station because there he blew below .08 ...but not without 2 tickets..one a reckless and the other an illegal u turn. Both of which were total poo. We were told at the scene that the reason was speeding. So they towed the car and Jon had to get a lawyer. All to the tune of 2000 All of the wedding money..gone... So I guess that means no wedding for me...unless money wants to fall from the sky. Not sure what happens now. His lawyer said he can fix it. Which is good. But how about he fixes my wedding! -------------------- Mya 7-1-00 |

Oh man, that's horrible! I guess no time is a good time to be $2000 out of pocket, but it really is horrible that it's right now. I'm so sorry, Nadya!! I hope that things can be sorted out.

Lawyer said he can get this lessoned. He said the cop was a newbie bully and Jon should never had to be arrested. So thank godness that Jon will get out of this without his record totally tarnished.

Sorry this happened.
Did he have the two drinks right before he left or were they powerful drinks? Two drinks, one every hour, shouldn't have gotten him that! Ugh. Sorry. Well, next time make sure you find a DD that stays designated to not drinking. -------------------- ~*Karen*~

His last drink was over an hour before we left DC. DC to location of pull over was a 30 min drive as well.
We think it was because I was smacked that he assumed Jon was as well. Jon was told at the station by the accompanying female cop that she would have let him go with an illegal u turn..( she was really sweet and tried to talk the other cop down to no avail.) -------------------- Mya 7-1-00 |
