Gold Member Group: Members Posts: 1,091 Member No.: 4,901 Joined: 26-August 06	Mirena..Have any of you used it and if so,what did you think of it?? I think I have changed my mind about getting my tubes tied(not b/c I might want more kids,but b/c I don't want to have to drive an hr away to the hospital to have it done)..Also,I know the phamplet says that you might have no period or light bleeding is all..And it is effective immediately..what do y'all think? My two cuties :) Group: Members Posts: 7,394 Member No.: 788 Joined: 29-September 04	I don't know anything about BC so no help there, but apparently BF'ing doesn't keep AF away for some women. Gold Member Group: Members Posts: 1,091 Member No.: 4,901 Joined: 26-August 06	Well,that stinks that AF can show up that quick..Kassidy is 5 weeks and a day..and my pp bleeding stopped about a week and a half ago.. Was AF shorter after having kids?? Mine lasted about a week before having kids,then when I had Kam it went to about 6 days then with Kyleigh it was about 5 days..so maybe I will get lucky this time and it will only last 3 days or less..LOL..Or not even come at all with the Mirena.. I am always so jealous of the women who don't get AF back until they completely stop nursing. My af's are longer after having kids - they used to last 3 or 4 days total... like with the last two days being really light spotting. Gold Member Group: Members Posts: 1,091 Member No.: 4,901 Joined: 26-August 06	Well,the nurse at my Dr office called me back and she doesn't seem to think it is AF..She seems to think it is just PP bleeding still as she said it can last for 6-8 weeks and maybe I just over did it the last few days(Shhh,don't tell anyone we already DTD 2x WITH protection of course.. )I just couldn't wait any longer..(I know TMI)so I am hoping that is all it is was that I over did it and NOT AF.. -------------------- Shawna~wife to Chris 7-28-93 Mommy to Kameron 4-30-99, Kyleigh 11-13-02 & Kassidy 1-28-09
