I have a 6 quart for my family of 3. I love the warming feature on it. When it's done with the cooking time, it switches to warm.

Is that the kind where you tell it how long and then it switches to warm? Does it work well? I can only do recipes that take forever cuz I am gone like 9 hours and whenever i tell dh to switch it off he forgets and my food is toast.

6 quart for the four of us.

Yes, that's exactly how it works. I haven't had any problems so far. I usually add just a little bit more liquid sometimes to make sure some things don't burn. I'm gone at least 10 hours every day.

I have three, I don't know what the sizes are but I have a tiny one I use for queso, etc, a medium one when it's just me and the kids, and a giant one when it's all of us.

Make sure that the crock is removeable for easy clean up. I always spray mine with Pam before I use it to help with this also. I have the oval shaped one and I really like it. Warming feature is a great ting, too!

Mine is oval too. When I make roast, there is usually enough left over for two more meals. yummy.gif
