![]() My MIL's dh made the best food when we camped with them, stuff I never would have thought of for camping....fried chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, etc. I'll never think of campfire food the same again ![]() |

I think outside the box. Last time we went I cooked a roast and potatoes with carrots. I always make a really good cake. And the first day we always have a Ham and mac and cheese. I think its turned into a tradition. Someone always goes there early so they have to cook the ham. |

ok lisa I am baking it right now. I am kinda wondering though because it is like super thick...not like normal cake consistency. I actually addded more oil because it was to dry. That was 1/2 cup oil right. We shall see in about an hour. I can always try again but I had my heart set on it...it sounded so yummy.
Be back in a hour with results. -------------------- ![]() |

From what I remember its normally thick. But I dont think its normally as thick as you are making it sound. I would have had to seen it KWIM? Now I just noticed that you only put 1/2 cup oil. Its 1 and a half cups of oil so that might have been the problem. |
