does anyone else take this?

ever since I had my c section and my tubes tied my life has been turned upside down.
I had light periods, lasting 3-4 days..no pms no cramping..nothing..even after the second baby..then when I had the c section and then my tubes tied, my periods are all over the place, terrible heavy...and lasting 7-10 days. I have horrible, the world is ending PMS, and just mood swings..
i talked to my dr about starting something to help and then i saw this ad on tv for this one because it only lets you have 4 periods a yr, which is a plus for me...
i wish there was a way to turn that period off when you are not having kids!

she said that after many kids sometimes that happens and said it has nothing to do with the tubes being tied..she wanted me take something more along the lines of an antidepresent for the pms, but its more then just those symptoms i want to control

I'd try some Evening Primrose Oil for the PMS before trying the antidepressants. I started taking it for dry skin (which it didn't do squat for) but it lessened my PMS so much I can only tell per the calendar when my period is due. It worked great to control PMS w/o the side effects of antidepressants!

I am totally against using the antidepressants in my case.
I will keep that in mind, does the bottle tell you what dose to take?
were there any other side effects?

I know. I had alot of people tell me before I had my tubes tied that it made your periods worse. It never did. Every medical thing I read said it was from having kids, not having your tubes tied. I ended up having a hysterectomy after I had my tubes tied and it had nothing to do with the tubes at all.
I know I still have my ovaries and my dr has talked about putting me on birth control to help with cyst on my ovaries.

ITA. I take three capsules of EPO a day and it seems to help with my mood. Hasn't done anything different for my skin, unfortunately, but I'm one of those unlucky people destined to have acne no matter what I try. I just started taking Yaz, which is said to give you lighter periods, great for PMDD, but I can't say I like it. I have experienced all the negatives I read online - anxiety, feeling of losing control (I'm MEAN lately), moody, break through bleeding (so where's the lighter periods if I start bleeding in the middle of my cycle!). Oh and it says that it helps acne, nope, bad skin still here!

Anyhow, enough about me.......Stacy, I don't think it hurts to try it out. I'm going to call my OB today and ask her to put me on something else. What works for one women, doesn't for another, especially when it comes to BC. So I think it's best to just try it yourself and go from there. GL!
