We need help too!, baby name

What does everybody think of the name Oscar? Be honest. I really like this name but I am curious as to what others think. Picking a name is hard. There is a fine line between a name too common and obscure.

For a girl we like the name Madeleine. I thought the name Lola was nice too.

I really liked the name Grace but unfortunately my surname is Kelly.

I prefer Oliver to Oscar and that's only because growing up we had a mean Shitzu named Oscar. I think if I never knew that dog I would love the name.

I kind of like - different, yet strong. Reminds me of someone who would be a crabby but funny old man.
I love Lola, too!

oscar is cute, Oliver is cute too.

I agree w/Crystal, I like Oliver better. And I'm not really fond of Lola, only b/c of that song though!

i think of Oscar as a good name for a dog but not a person.

Her name is Lola, She was a showgirl....

BTW, one of my FAVORITE songs!!! I named one of my Yorkies after it and when I sing that song to her she loves it.

I like Lola but I think of The Kinks song. I really like Oliver.

I think of Hot Dogs. I think that there may be a lot of opportunities to be teased with Oscar (Oscar the Grouch, Oscar Meyer Weiners, etc.) I always try to think of that when thinking of a name.

I like the name Madeleine and Grace (too bad it doesn't work).

For some reason, I think boys' names are always harder to choose.

Oscar...not so much There was this little boy cross the street and he was a heathen. Oliver is nice.

Lola...No not so much. Madeleine is my nieces name but you have to call her that not Maddy or Madison.
