How old is he? It sounds like just a cold; I wouldn't bring him in at all. There's nothing a doctor can do for a cold.

well if you think its just a cold then there isn't anything they can do for him, you can give him motrin and tylenol for pain/fever. But really all you can do for him is keep him hydrated and if you think he can hold it down some chicken noodle soup (it always makes me feel better) or some vegitable soup that would give him a little energy. He will feel better in a day or so

I usually don't bring mine in until they have been sick for at least 10 days with out it looking like they are getting better. A virus will usually take that long.
Of course, there are times when I just KNOW that they are sick, then they go right in. My daughter was sick with RSV for 3 days before I took her in. How old is he? that makes a difference too. The thing with Dr's offices is that they are the germiest places around, and you are sure to catch something while you are there, so its just best to stay out. |
