warning way to much info inside, but i need heop

Jesus answers knee mail Group: Members Posts: 2,963 Member No.: 1,776 Joined: 22-April 05	I've been using the Nuvaring for about a year, dont know if anyone else uses it on here. I checked for it just to make sure it was still in place cause i'm a freak and i worry lol. Anyway, I couldnt find it, and my cervix seemed really really high. so now, about 4 days later, I am bleeding alot, dark red really heavy bleeding. I cant get in to see my doctor until tomorrow and i am a little freaked out. I only had period 2 weeks ago so i should not be bleeding this much. any advice? --------------------

As you tense up it stays up there more. Remember there is no where for it to go but out ok? I used it myself and being nurse at OBGYN we have retrieved a few. It is not normal for you to bleeding heavy midcycle like that but have you been really trying to get it out or find it ?? If you have you may have just really irritated your cervix. Try to calm down. Sit on the toilet like you are going to have BM and just bear down. It will come down further where you can grab it. But you have to relax. Also the other option is it could have fell out???? Like when you had sex or went to bathroom and you flushed it? That could be a reason for you to have started bleeding as well. Please keep us posted. The doctor wants me to insert a new ring which im kinda weird about, because she seems to think the other one is still floating around up there. wouldnt that be too much hormones? Jacobsmama--thank you i know im trying to stay calm. I have had it fall out once or twice before and really felt it so it would be weird for it to come out and me not feel it. --------------------

The reason you are bleeding so much is because It is out or way up and not getting you the hormones you need. So she knows you aren't getting hormones or your levles wouldn't have dropped and you wouldnt' have started bleeding. KWIM? It would be like if you jsut quit taking your pills in teh middle of the pack. That would make you bleed like crazy.
