Cary the Lemur Group: Members Posts: 8,080 Member No.: 135 Joined: 15-April 03	I posted my "excuses" for being away so much under the thread asking where Jenn and I were. I've missed you guys lots though and K has done alot of growing. We had her second appointment with the endocrinologist and she gained 6 more oz's in 2 weeks! She's up to 18 lbs 4 oz now and will be 16 mos on Jan 2nd! I couldn't believe it. She is eating better though, mostly snacking, no real meals still but it's working. He said he won't need to see her again unless her growth levels off again. We are getting ready to implement Dr. Jay Gordon's night weaning plan. I love my baby and I don't mind BFding her most of the time but it is getting ridiculous how much she wakes up to nurse now. She has got to learn to accept that nummies go night night at some point (we are thinking 11-6) and that she will need to be able to go back to sleep without them. I will be happy to pat her and comfort her but the boobage needs it's rest and so does mommy. lol We are going to start on Tuesday since DH has some time off work for the holidays. He will be taking the brunt of it for that week. I will be sleeping downstairs and perhaps sleeping through the night at least once or twice. I can't wait! I finished her christmas shopping today. she got a rocking horse, some books, puzzles, a flashlight (for our walks), a doll stroller for the doll that MIL got her, hokey-pokey elmo, a wiggles video, another elmo video, socks, a blanket, bubbles, fingerpaint and some other little stuff. Plus all of the family has stuff for her too!! She it totally spoiled! I used to get like 2 toys and some clothes for christmas. I love doing it for her though. I stopped by the newspaper today. did you know that you can get the ends of newprint (blank butcher paper) for free??? I got lots of it for her drawing and fingerpainting! -------------------- Cary

I have contemplated this issue for a long time and it might just happen someday soon, lol. Kylie's nursing every two hours from 8 pm til 6 am! Ahhh! DH has been gone last week and this week and it's just wearing me thin. That is so awesome, I am so glad to hear that she is doing so well! It sounds like Christmas is going to be a little rough over at your house, so I'm sending lots of hugs to you! Please let us know how the night weaning goes! That is so wonderful that your DH is going to help you with that! WTG DH! I hope it won't be to tramatic of both of you! and that after a few nights she will realize that the nummies are gone to bed!
