I have a MASSIVE migraine and I can't function. It just came on suddenly and I can't leave work since I've missed a bit this week being sick and at the doctors. Anyways, I was told I have an ulcer this week and to stop taking any anti-inflammatory meds. That was the ER doc who told me that. I see the gastro specialist Monday to find out what I can take, eat, etc. Anyways, can I take Excederin? Is that an anti-inflammatory? I'm in serious need of help NOW. sad.gif

as far as I remember, NO. No aspirin, as it irritates your stomach and acetominophen is an anti-inflammatory. Excedrin has both in it. The only thing I can tell you is to drink something with a lot of caffeine in it - I would suggest a pepsi or coke. It's not great for the ulcer either but it's the lesser of two evils.

Also, if you have access to a cold washcloth or even a cold eye mask, put it behind your neck and then over your eyes. That is what I had to do for my migraines when I was pregnant, I couldn't take my meds. I hope you feel better soon hug.gif

Edited for misspells... MAN I need to go back to college!!! wacko.gif blush.gif

UGH... I was totally with you on the migraine thing yesterday and the day before. I have to attribute it to the sudden change in temperature and pressure outside (it went from being in the 80's to being in the 60's and from sunny to cloudly). It was horrendous though. And my nanny job yesterday was not fun at all.

I hope it went away though... mine seems to be better today *touch wood* though I took 2 tylenol and 2 Midol within four hours this morning... so that may have something to do with it (yeah... not supposed to do that... but feared death more if I didn't) sleep.gif
