Kabuki Top

I'm going to a party next Friday that has an oriental theme so I was thinking of buying one of these shirts, although we don't have to dress according to the theme. I tried one on and it was really cute on. I was shocked b/c really I didn't think it would be that flattering. I'm wondering if I should just wear it with jeans? Anyone own a kabuki style shirt?

I have a similar top that I bought maybe three or four years ago. It's silky like that and a funky black and white pattern and the sleeves are the same, but it's one of those tops that is sleeveless on one side, but not on the other. The other sleeve has the long flowy sleeve, kimono like. And ties in the waist. Hard to describe, but I wore it to a club and I got a lot of compliments then. I wore it with black pants and pointy-toe sling-backs. You'll look great Aimee! If I wear this top with dark jeans (tight, of course) What shoes would I wear? I'm horrible at picking out shoes. Especially shoes with jeans. If you have pictures, that would be nice.

I hope it looks okay on. The shoes I got are sling back heels with an open toe. I hear those are in, too. I'm wearing it with my dark wash seven jeans. I can't get a good picture so I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow night.

So I'm really careful when I pick out my shoes. I need them to go with lots of things. I thought these were nice. I'm glad you all like them. I also bought these. I LOVE THEM!!! They look awesome with jeans, they are just tall enough and I think they would look great with a skirt, too. I may go back for the black ones. I seriously love all Mudd sandals.
