Good Luck Kelly!!! Salmon is my favorite too. I'll tolerate trout for DH but I'd prefer salmon!

WI this afternoon, before lunch. Down 1.2 pounds more. 2.6 this week and 18 total. I'm back on track. I hope to be down 20 by the time I leave for Texas next week.

QUOTE (MyBrownEyedBoy @ Mar 5 2007, 06:31 PM)
Okay, dinner was right on track. I had 4 ounces of salmon (yummy, it's the only fish I really like) and 1 cup of steamed green beans (fresh ones). I can't wait for the farmer's market to open back up. But that won't happen until June. Sometimes it's such a pain to live in a northern area.

what kind of salmon are you eating, Kelly? cooked, raw, smoked?
i love smoked and raw but not so fond of the cooked...the smoked and raw are a bit expensive to be eating daily though.
if you had it cooked, do you have a recipe to share?
thanks.... blush.gif

Nothing too fancy, Jennifer. I usually either broil or grill salmon. With either method, I squeeze about half a lemon on the fish and then whatever spices I feel like using. Usually some garlic, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper. Then I just cook it. Trick is to not over do it, it dries out then. If I'm broiling it usually takes just about 10-12 minutes/ 8 ounce filet. Baking is usually 20-25 minutes. Grilling on the foreman grill is easier because you can watch it.

I love it this way. I also like smoked salmon, but like you said, it's pricey. Let me know what you think when you try it.

Dinner was pork lo mein. happy.gif I love the stuff, but I didn't eat too much of it.

Breakfast -- banana, sausage McMuffin, water, diet coke
Lunch -- salad and green beans, water
Snack -- slimfast bar, water

WI tonight after work. hopefully the lo mein won't sabotage me. But I'm feeling good about myself and that's what really matters.

I think the lo mein did me in. I gained 0.2 pounds, but I'm not moving my ticker, I'm going to take it off and more by Monday. So, all in all, not a bad week. I'm back at work now, so my stress level is higher, but so is my activity level. I'll work it out. Still hoping to be at or near a 20 pound loss by the time I leave for Texas next week on Thursday. Fingers crossed!

.2 is no biggie! I know you will be able to celebrate the 20 pound loss before you leave for TX. What a great feeling! thumb.gif

I am happy to announce that I am 0.2 pounds away from my 20 pounds by Texas goal. I managed to take off 2.4 pounds since last WI. I've also got measurements on Wednesday, so hopefully, I'll be down that 0.2 pounds and several inches as well.

I did it. I lost 20.8 pounds and 20.5 inches before my trip. I am so proud of myself. I've been here in Texas since Thursday (well, actually, Oklahoma Thursday through Saturday.) Been practicing really lousy eating habits and my family isn't too bad.

Okay, so I ate like crap for a week. But I only put on 1.4 pounds. I can deal with that. And I can lose it. It's not like starting from scratch. But it is so hard to pass up fried pickles and homemade BBQ (smoked meat, no sauce, yes, I do know Texas BBQ.) and potato salad. Yummy, I'm making myself hungry. Anyway, back to basics.
Breakfast -- yogurt, bagel, grapes, water
Lunch -- chicken, carrot, broccoli, snap pea stirfry and an apple.

hug.gif hug.gif Just move on. That's my motto this week. thumb.gif

If you read my journal I gained a bit more than you and yep, it was because of my actions. rolleyes.gif At least we both know what we did wrong and can go forward.

GL this coming week. thumb.gif

Just an addendum. The first thing my sister said to me was, "Hi, you skinny bi*#%." Made my day. I also bought $150 of new clothes. And my sister said to me, "I hope you get smoking hot and dump Aaron on his butt."
No love lost between Aaron and my family. But I knew that.

Back in gear and on the way. I lost what I gained and then 0.2 pounds more, so 21 pounds even now. Pics of me in GD. I'm looking better, I think.
Breakfast - yogurt, 1 egg, 1/2 bagel w/ fat-free cream cheese.
WATER, WATER, WATER!!!
