Aimee I'm so glad you had a better day today.
It's not silly at all to be feeling like that. We're all entitled to our crappy days regardless of why they are crappy. hug.gif hug.gif

Today is good. happy.gif I got on the scale this morning and I've lost 8 pounds this month! banana.gif I'm not going to clutter my thoughts w/the fact that it will slow down in the months to come and I won't lose as fast b/c well, I want to enjoy my 8 pound loss for now. I needed that this morning. thumb.gif

So, 8 pounds never to be seen again. AF is GONE!! Finally! She's here for a few days, leaves for a couple of days and then she shows back up to grace me w/her presence for a few more days. It sucks. dry.gif But she was lighter this month w/minimal cramping. That's an improvement. Now if I could just improve my moods while she's here. *sigh*

I feel thin and lean today. happy.gif

I'm not sure if the gym is having classes this morning. I need to call. Scotty told me to stay home. We got sleet and snow yesterday and last night, which of course froze and turned to ice overnight. He doesn't want me driving on it. He said the roads are really bad, but they still had school. rolleyes.gif

Awesome job Aimee, I know how much you really didn't want to weigh yourself for a while. Keep up the great work, as you mentioned you will slow down but this is only because there isn't that much fat on your body girl. You will start to tone up now with all your workouts. Keep it up. cheerleader.gif

You know that's the perfect weight loss. They say 2 lbs a week is the rate at which you'll be most successful keeping it off!!! YOU GO GURL!

Thanks y'all. Yeah, when you think of 8 pounds it seems huge, but over a month's time that's pretty normal at first. I hope to lose more. I have 8-10 more that I'd like to get rid of. wink.gif That may take another 2 months and I'm prepared for that. Right now I haven't lost any more inches. That's why I was so frustrated this past week, but getting on the scale this morning helped me gain perspective. I went to the YOU: On a Diet forum and a lot of people said they hit a plateau at around 4-5 weeks. They also said they stuck it out and starting dropping inches again around 6 weeks. I guess your body needs time to get used to the changes. As much as I ate before, my body is probably in starvation mode. emlaugh.gif

I ended up going to the gym this morning for a couple of hours. I took Core which wore my abs out. emlaugh.gif Then I did 30 mins cardio on the treadmill. It was a GREAT workout. I'm so glad I went. I ran into a friend while I was there and she ended up taking the class with me. She loved it, even though it was challenging. I talked her into taking the weightlifting class with me in the morning, too. happy.gif Sunday I might take a break. If I go up there I will do cardio and relax in the hot tub for awhile, but I think we are going to have to go visit Scotty's cousin that owns a Sears store. Our dishwasher went out last night. rolleyes.gif Fortunately they are on sale right now. Maybe she will throw in a new stove while we are there. rolling_smile.gif A girl can dream.

sun.gif Have a great weekend everyone!! sun.gif

Aimee did the weather get any better today? Carrie called me yesterday around 4 and said it was snowing pretty heavily. She expected to be snowed in today.

Sorry about your dishwasher, that really really sucks!!!!

I'm glad you are feeling better about your loss...you are doing a fantastic job! Plateau's are always what cause me to give in....stick to it...just think about that wedding!!!

Well, there's nothing like waking up, going to the gym and weighing yourself to find out that your scale at home is 3 POUNDS OFF!!! huh.gif I weighed myself at home first b/c I wanted to check. I suspected it was off.

So, yeah. I worked out this morning. biggrin.gif I found out last night after doing some reading that I've been eating too much protein. They really push it at the gym and I was going overboard. So, I'm scaling back on that and it's time to vamp up my cardio workouts. I've been a bit lazy about doing it b/c it's not my favorite part. When I ran on the treadmill this morning I realized how capable I am of handling it. I actually felt better when I was running than I do when I walk. I was going to take Core, but I'll do some ab exercises at home later.

Oh, the 3 pounds...that's in MY favor, thank you very much!!! thumb.gif thumb.gif

I know it's all the same, but I feel like I lost 3 pounds this morning. laugh.gif

Well, technically I still lost only 8 pounds since I weighed myself at home initially. Darn. tongue.gif The good news is, I weigh 3 pounds less than I thought I did. thumb.gif It puts me in a whole other range. happy.gif

WOOHOO an extra 3 lbs. Great job Aimee.
WTG for adding some more cardio, you're going to start noticing a bigger difference I bet with that. Great job on the running. jog.gif jog.gif

biggrin.gif We had an appt w/our tax lady today to get our taxes done. Then I went to eat lunch w/DH. wub.gif

I JUST got home. I picked up Ethan, picked up Maddie and ran errands. I'm so tired. wacko.gif

Di, the wedding is on the 21st of April. wink.gif

Marie, It's really crazy, but I am starting to notice a difference already w/adding more cardio to my routine. thumb.gif

I'm about to start remodeling Maddie's room. I have to prep the walls before I paint them and I also have to paint the furniture I'm putting in there. It was my mother's when she was little and she passed it on to me. Now I'm passing it on to Maddie. wub.gif It used to be a creamy white. Now it has turned yellow thru the years and is in desperate need of paint. That will keep me busy for quite some time. Hopefully I can get started next week. biggrin.gif

My life is pretty boring right now. I don't have much more to report. tongue.gif

I'm sorry I haven't been as active on here as usual. I've been so busy this week, it's hard finding time to post. I have been reading everyone's journals though. They really give me a lift. happy.gif You all are doing GREAT! thumb.gif

I'm still doing really well. I had a good workout week. Yesterday I showed up to take strong and there was a sub. She was awful. And I thought it was just ME that was off, but I talked to several people today and they confirmed my thoughts. It was such a horrible horrible class. dry.gif What a waste of time. I did 2 miles on the elliptical today and then took core. I feel so much better. Tomorrow I'm taking strong w/my friend, Lisa who KNOWS how to teach the class. happy.gif I'm looking forward to that.

Tomorrow night is Ladies night out. redbounce.gif It's at Lisa's house. The theme is wine and cheese. I don't like wine. It gives me such a headache. SO, I'm taking stuff for margaritas. yummy.gif I'm making them homemade...no mix stuff here. wink.gif

Have a great weekend everyone!! hug.gif

I was bad last night. I went to a sandwich place and had soup and a sandwich. Honestly, I didn't think I was able to eat that much anymore. laugh.gif I guess I really needed it. My body sure didn't resist it. tongue.gif

I worked out this morning. What a GREAT class. It was such a good workout. I then walked on the treadmill for 35 mins. I have no idea how many miles that was, I didn't even check. Yesterday must have been a good workout, too b/c I'm pretty sore! I just love feeling the soreness. happy.gif I'm a weirdo.

I've gotten a lot of great compliments this week. It really makes me feel good. I'm pretty self conscious and need that occasional boost. happy.gif

I went ahead and added a ticker to my siggy. I would still like to lose about 9 pounds. At this point I don't know if it's possible, but I will continue to work towards my goal.

I'm looking forward to tonight. I'll try to be good and just have one margarita. beer.gif

I didn't have just one margarita. blush.gif But I had a lot of fun! biggrin.gif

I used the treadmill and the ellliptical yesterday at the gym.

I meant to take my cardio kickboxing class this morning, but I am having horrible ovulation cramps. It's hard just to stand up. blink.gif If I'm feeling better this evening I'll take the strong class. I took Midol...I wonder if that will help? Ethan was also up all night and I slept with him most of the night. I don't think he's feeling well.

I'm having my usual breakfast of PB toast.

Snacks will be fruit, yogurt and nuts.

Lunch will be tilapia, broccoli, brown rice

Dinner will be vegetable soup.

I'm getting a lot of "You are getting skinny" comments. Or "Have you lost 3 dress sizes?" No, I haven't lost 3 dress sizes. happy.gif Only 2. laugh.gif I don't feel like I look all that different, but my friends tell me that I look so rested and healthy. I see my body and it looks the same to me, although my clothes are too big.

I might be going to Chicago in a couple of months (for my 30th birthday)...I'm still working on a date. More on that later, but it's more motivation and I can always use more motivation. happy.gif

But, you're gonna hate me....the scale hasn't moved. I've stayed the same. I do need to start eating better and focus on losing these last few pounds. wink.gif

I went to the gym last night and took Total Conditioning. I haven't taken that class in a long time. It's the hardest class they offer and so much harder than bootcamp. It's an endurance class. What was I thinking? blink.gif Well, I was thinking that I needed a boost in my workout regimen. I take pretty much the same classes every week and my body is used to it and I'm not benefiting from it anymore. I did okay last night. I was impressed by the number of push ups I can do now. I used to have trouble doing 5 in a row. laugh.gif The push ups are the main part of this class. I read that a 30 year old woman should be able to do 45 push ups or something insane like that! blink.gif There are 100 or more push ups in this class. They are over with in the first 10 mins. We do drills to get our heart-rate up, then we'll slow it down with some strength training. It's just intervals like that until we've worked all the major muscle groups. It's an hour and 10 mins of hell. laugh.gif Then we do abs and the cool down. The ab workout was really good. I felt it a lot. I take a core class and always feel it more in my back, which is a part of the core so that's okay, I just want to work my abs more.

I liked the change. I think I will start taking this class once a week. thumb.gif

I'm skipping the gym this morning and will go again tonight for barbell strength.

My eating was horrible this weekend...if you read Naomi's above post you probably figured that out. laugh.gif My body burned it off, but I still need to get back on track. It makes me feel sluggish when I eat bad. I'm also coming down with a cold or sinuses again. rolleyes.gif

It's spring today!!! sun.gif YAY!!! I'm going to enjoy it before another cold front hits. wink.gif

AND, we had our main computer worked on so I need to pick that up. I'll be thrilled to have it back. We are having a new one built soon. thumb.gif

It's only February and it's already dead in here. huh.gif

I've got to start using this journal again. There are days when it's really hard for me, but I need the accountability and the encouragement.

I weighed in this week and lost another 2 pounds and several inches. I'm getting really close to my goal. banana2.gif I'm comfortably wearing an 8. thumb.gif AF should be here next week. I'm ready for her to get here and get it over with. It's not been a very good month for me. sleep.gif

Here's my day:

Breakfast: PB toast
morning snack: popcorn, apple
lunch: tilapia, broccoli
afternoon snack: yogurt
dinner: chicken, sweet potatoes, green beans
drinks: water

Exercise today will be 30 mins of Core, 15 mins stretch and 30 mins cardio

The dress should be in in a couple of weeks! ohmy.gif I've got to get serious again.
