I hope the spaghetti turns out okay. The last time I fixed whole wheat pasta I really didn't like it. tongue.gif Hopefully it's better this time. And I've never had these turkey meatballs, either. They are pre-made italian style and smell really good. yummy.gif

I'm used to the whole wheat pasta but still cant seem to like the brown rice! But I don't eat much rice to begin with, I prefer pasta, Tim is just the opposite! You can imagine what it's like deciding what's for dinner here!

The whole wheat pasta was really good. I actually like it better. yummy.gif I think I didn't cook it long enough last time. dunno.gif

Breakfast: Whole wheat toast w/peanut butter, OJ
Morning snack: almonds
Lunch: Turkey wrap on whole wheat tortilla, swiss cheese, apple
Afternoon snack: vegetable soup
Dinner: Fiesta shrimp (shrimp, black beans, corn, cilantro, brown rice, cajun seasoning)
Drinks: water, tea

Activity:
One hour weight training (fat burning) and one mile on the treadmill (sugar burning). Class was so good this morning. I love weight lifting more than anything. I just love feeling my muscles get so fatigued they start shaking. They are still shaking. This morning I could tell I was much stronger b/c it took longer to get fatigued. It felt good. thumb.gif

I got some more vitamins to take. I notice such a difference when I take them. I also picked up some glutamine & epsom salt while I was there so I won't be so sore tomorrow. happy.gif

I take a whole slew of vitamins. Which is totally safe, btw. wink.gif I also take a multi-vitamin.

I'm taking them under the direction of a nutritionist. I had an analysis done to tell me what deficiencies I had in my diet so I take supplements to make up for that. I just can't rely on getting all the nutrients I need from my food sources. I'm still struggling with eating the required amounts.

If you are just wanting to get more energy and help your metabolism, I would start with a B vitamin. B-12 is a good one. thumb.gif

I would be careful with the multi vitamin and not just buy any brand. They have found that some of the multi vitamins are coated in glue. You can test them by dropping them in water. They should break apart and dissolve pretty quickly. Even some brands that GNC carries can't be trusted. dry.gif GNC should have a money back guarantee on all their products, though. And then, of course there's the article that M2A posted the other day. I'm pretty sure the Sam's or CostCo brands can be trusted. They're inexpensive and you get plenty. thumb.gif

You should be okay with the B-12 in any brand.

I'm finishing off an old bottle of prenatals right now. DH is very much into using what we have before buying more rolleyes.gif so I'll get something when those are gone. Is Women's One a Day any good?

AF should be here today. Blah. sleep.gif My head is hurting for the first time in weeks and I'm cramping. I'm still going to the gym b/c it always makes me feel better. I have a core class at 9:45. I might do cardio afterwards, but I'll keep it low and slow. TMI: I've still got this cold and am now blowing green out of my head. I wonder what I can take for this? I might have some sudafed left.

That just all sounds so depressing. laugh.gif Really I feel fine, just not as great as I have been feeling.

I'm going to be late if I don't get to moving. Have a great day everyone! wavey.gif

Sorry that cold is bugging you. Try doing massage around the forehead, nasal and eye cavity areas. That will help push things along. It sounds like an infection to me. I just do a lot of massage when i get that icky stuff.

Sounds like you are doing well with the eating and working out. Keep it up! cheerleader.gif

Class was good today. thumb.gif I was sitting pretty close to the mirror during class and she had us leaning over the Bosu on our sides..we were propped up on our elbows doing side crunches to work the obliques. I noticed my shoulders are a lot stronger and more defined. I've been doing a lot of shoulder exercises in my strong class so I'm pleased that I can see a difference already. We did a lot of back exercises, too. Most everything was on the bosu...which is much more challenging. We even did our plank position on the bosu and I'm starting to get better at this. It's always been so difficult for me to hold plank. It was a hard class, but it's only 30 min. happy.gif I didn't get any cardio in. I barely got 5 mins of stretching before childcare came up to get me b/c Ethan wanted me. sleep.gif

I did my body fat percentage today and I've lost 5% body fat in 2 weeks. banana2.gif I've lost 3 inches off my waist. thumb.gif 3 inches off my hips. thumb.gif And I gained 1/2 an inch in my chest laugh.gif I'm attributing that to AF. happy.gif The rest has pretty much stayed the same as far as I can tell.

Thanks for the well wishes. wub.gif I am feeling a little better, but I really really need a nap. snooze.gif I'm so tired and it's going to be a late night.

Great workout Aimee, gotta love the little ones when they need their momma it is right now, not when mom is done. May you get some sleep soon. I am starting to fade rather quickly myself here.
