That i am going to start weaning Ally onto formula and be done BF when she hits 6 months. That gives me 5 weeks and aprox. 2 more bouts with Thrush before we are done. I am just getting fed up with the whole thing. I'm not really happy about it, I'm actually pretty sad, but it is such a PITA. I think once I am finally done with it i will be relieved. I hope. Now I just need to figure out how to go about weaning her.

Sorry Tara. I think you're doing what's best for you though, and you should be quite proud of yourself. hug.gif hug.gif

I think that if I'd had to struggle with the issues you've had, I'd probably do the same thing. It's worth it but not if it's seriously effecting your quality of life. hug.gif

I agree... with all the troubles that have come your way, I'd try something different as well. I'm sure you both will be happier and more content. Be proud of your self for all the hard work you've done already! hug.gif

your goal was 6 months and you should be very proud of that...
you did great things for your little girl going on that long with all that you had to deal with.
thrush sounds terrible.

I agree with the rest....your sanity is just as important as breastfeeding. You do what is best for yourself and your baby.

Thanks for your support guys. It really helps. I'm just sad that things didn't work out for me, but on the same hand I am excited to just be done with it, and not have to deal with any of it or worry about it any more. Are't hormones great?! wacko.gif
