38 week Update, Had checkup on Tuesday...

I went to my doc appt. Tuesday and had been at 1cm for the past two weeks. Well, I was now only at 1+, woohoo, I was hoping for a lot more! Oh well. She's on vacation all next week and today is my last day in the office I'm going to work from home tomorrow and all of next week to try and NOT go into labor and keep the swelling down in my ankles/feet.

She did instruct me to make sure I had sex Sunday night, she'd like me to be in labor Monday morning, 8/31, when she gets in. She plans to have me come in early that morning if not and break my water to induce me, no meds though since this is a VBAC.

Only disappointing comment she made was that if I hadn't had the baby by end of lunch, she may suggest a C.

Well, I'll be in and out next week since I'm going to be home so wish me luck if I don't get the chance to get online much. I'll update you as soon as I can

Your right! July 31, not Aug, I don't think I could stand another month

Jen - My doc won't give meds for inducing, but will give me pain meds, thank god!

I'm so ready but glad to not have to venture out to work after today, I might even go home early today

She's literally only giving you a few hours to have that baby before she suggests a C-section. I don't know anything about VBACs but that sounds odd.

I hope things go the way you're looking forward to them going so we can meet that little bundle soon. Enjoy your time at home, even if you are still working.

Why is she pushing you to hurry up and have this baby?? That doesn't seem very healthy at all! I wish you all the best!!

She's going to induce on 7/31 b/c she is concerned about the size of the baby, thinks that she is getting big. She thought that last time and Colin was only 7lbs 2oz.

I can only hope I labor that fast I guess! I may push her to not do the C unless medically necessary.
