I just found out today that they are transitioning Trei-Trei to Pre-Toddler, early. I'm glad. He seems to be "ahead of the class" with motor skills, and really hasn't been making much progress for a while. He's not regressing, but he's not progressing, either. When you walk into his room, all the other children are just learning to stand up holding on to the toy cubes and such, or even just learning to crawl, and then you have Trei-Trei doing his own thing, whether it's seeing how far he can throw toys over the shelves, or bouncing a ball off to the side.

I'm really hoping this will help him learn new things, and maybe develop more of a vocabulary. I'm crossing my fingers. Wish him (well, us) luck!!!

Good luck, hope he finds more stimulation there and has a ball! thumb.gif

that is great news!! rolling_smile.gif IMO it is great that they recognize this about him, and will not keep him 'held back' with the other little ones that he is ahead of in terms of milestones.

Well, today was the first day of the "transition" week, at school. Trei-Trei cried a little bit, I was told, but eventually he calmed down, and started to interact.

Oh, BTW, Trei-Trei is officially OFF the bottle. Now, all I have to do, is stock up on the sippy cups, and small plastic ones from here on out.

Wow, children never cease to amaze me. Trei-Trei is doing so well in his new class. He sits at the table, in a chair, for all meals, and tries to use his spoon and fork (it's not forced, but rather encouraged, but they haven't even started it w/ him, he just picked it up). He takes naps on a cot, (no more cribs, I'm even converting his crib to a toddler bed at home), and this has been his second night, in a row, that he has gone to bed w/OUT his bottle, I mean sippy cup. That's right, no more bottles, either.

I also found out, yesterday, that the next child to Trei-Trei's age is 6 months older than Trei-Trei. I guess most parents would be worried, but I'm enthused, 'cause that just means he has more to learn. I know his development is going to soar from here on out. I'm just glad he has the opportunity to learn so much more, now.
