Well the weekend wasn't as quiet as I expected. We were on the go from early Saturday til yesterday when we hit the beds. Matthew had hockey games both days, I thought Sunday was a practice day, nope 8am game. AGH, those are the hardest to get up for. They lost both games, Saturday they were just flat and the officiating didn't help and Sunday - well lets just say you don't put a new goalie in at the end of the season especially one that hasn't played before. Anyway they had fun. I didn't journal at all either here or in my journal so I am scared as to what Wednesday will bring. I did manage 2 days of activity and will get the 2nd two today and tommorow.

We go away this coming weekend to a cottage up on Rice Lake, this is to make up for our lost time this past summer. Not to sure what the weather will be like, I do know for sure it will be cold and snowy. Hopefully the lake will be frozen enough that the kids can skate, we will be most likely be going treking and playing in the snow as long as it is not -28 like it is here now with the windchill. The cottage is fully winterized and has a piano and pool table. Here are some pics and tour of it

It will be great to just get away, but it is the first time we have done a winter weekend at a cottage.

Thanks everyone, we were definitely very active this past weekend. I am in a pretty good place today, I put on a pant suit I bought a couple of years ago, wore it at the bigger size and down and back up and now back down again. I told DH this morning that if I were to try it on in a store today and it fit like this I wouldn't buy it. Can't wait to send it off to the Goodwill. It is one that I can't take in. Oh well, I will get to go shopping. Had a rushed morning so had to eat at the office, pb sandwich and a banana. Lunch is packed and all on program, did my work out last night and will do 1 more tonight. No boss here today or tommorow and it is kinda slow so I will most likely be playing on the net most of the day.

Gotta run and read some more here on the boards. Thanks again for all the encouragement. We are counting down the sleeps til we head up to the cottage, it looks awesome and is definitely better than the cottage we go to in the summer but apparently the lake it is on has at least 1 fatality each year and the lake water can be kinda swampy and gross for swimming. Where we go in the summer it is crystal clear and there hasn't been any accidents that we know of in the last 6 years we have been up there. Oh well, each has their own good and bad points. We will most likely stick to going up north to our regular cottage because of the swimming for the kids. Maybe as they get older and don't care about swimming that much we may switch it up for the nicer cottage.

As for today, (thanks for asking DI), well I am getting sick. I thought I had beat it but I woke up with the worst scratchy throat ever. Never fails, I get it once a year and I think this is it. I will not let it get me down, I put my contacts on today instead of my glasses and I am going to have a great day. Lunch is all soft foods, diced seasoned tommatoes, a couple babybelle light cheese rounds, yogurt, some pineapple and maybe an apple if I can slide it past my throat. I have WI tonight and am hoping for a loss, I didn't get my activity in last night as my throat was killing me and I was just plain exhausted. It also doesn't help that Thomas was complaining of a sore ear too, so I gave him some motrin and he went to sleep early with no complaints. Sometimes the kids just know when I am not feeling well and will play nicely together and not bug the blazes out of us.

Okay that is all for now, will try and get back here as the day goes on. Have a great one everyone.

Thanks everyone, my throat is getting sorer as the day moves on. Naomi - that is cute that Thomas got to the computer. My boys know not to touch mommies puter, but DH on the other hand, lets just say that if I leave my laptop on and at this site he feels it is free game to have a look. I told him nope, some of the areas here are very private. Don't worry he didn't even get past the first screen of the listed today's topics but he did notice Karen's title - re: the poprocks and almost choked on his food - well because ya know... . Ok this is not the place for that. Thanks again for your well wishes, I will update later tonight after my meeting if I am feeling up to it, I may just land in bed after it. Thanks again for the great support here. I am back from my meeting and I am up .4 this week but it could have been way worse. I am okay with the gain as I am seeing changes in my body I wouldn't have seen if I didn't start my workouts and my clothes are starting to get bigger. So I am regrouping tonight, gonna get my butt to the doctor's tommorow, I am going to go into work and call the doctor's office and make an appointment hopefully for the afternoon, if I can't get in I will just tell them I got one and go the clinic and make sure it is not strep and if it is they will give me some antibiotics to kill it so I can relax this weekend at the cottage. Okay, gonna run now and have some chicken soup while we watch Criminal Minds, it is going to be a good one. I will try and get on here once I am work not sure how long I will be there, my boss may just send me straight home. Thanks again to all of you here.

Sorry about your WI but it sounds like you are definitely handling it well. You have a great mindset about it. I really hope you can get seen by the Dr. today...being sick really messes with us so I hope you get well soon so you can get back to your normal self. I know y'all will have such a nice weekend!!! Thanks Carrie, I think my gaining has a little bit to do with me working out and toning my muscle but I could have a lot to do with the way I ate this past week. Oh onward and downward.

Today is another fresh start, had a great breakfast, still feel like crap, gonna call the doctors office as soon as they open, my throat isn't too bad now but I am having a hard time catching my breath so I think it has moved to my chest. Anyway, I am not going to let it get me down, I am going to see the doc and rule out what I can and then see if it is treatable, if it is not I am just going to have to lay low this weekend and try and get better. Will keep you updated as to what is going on.

I'm sorry you didn't get a loss on the scale. It's good you know what you did or did not do and are moving forward. Don't let it get you down.
