Almost since she was born Alyssa has snored in her sleep and made a snorting noise on and off throughout the day. At first I didn't think much about it until more and more people started commenting on it. I don't know why (maybe because I'm emotional from af) but today I got really alarmed about it and started searching the internet for info about it and I think she may have an obstructed airway. It is treatable but it still freaks me out because it can cause sleep apnea which is when a person stops breathing in their sleep for brief periods of time and can in rare cases cause death(I think dh has it and it freaks me out and it is hereditary ). I called her ped today and she didn't sound too concerned-Just said to bring her in and that she knows a good ear, nose and throat dr. that she can refer us to if needed but I'm still worried.

She is probably fine but it's good that you get her checked out anyway. It will give you peace of mind.

((HUGS)) I'm sure it's nothing, but I would have it checked out to make sure. I say go directly to a PED specialist, that's what I do these days w/Megan.

I'm sure she'll be ok too. It doesn't hurt to check it out though.
