Just to let everyone know that password for the private forum has changed. As noted, the password will periodically change but you can always get the new password at any time. You can get the new password by clicking on the link in the forum description.

I need to also add. It has been requested and discussed by all moderators that the posting requirement also be raised. The posting requirement has now changed to to 500 posts. I do realize that this means some people who already had access and have already posted in the forum will no longer be able to get in. If this is the case, please send myself or one of the mods a PM.

It changed because you've got an active guy on the board and some women aren't comfortable with that. Just the truth..............

I don't think that's it. We had another active guy here and he participated in the threads. Also, TLC dad always has access to all of it.

I think it may have something to do with the fact that the forums were started before we got bombarded by newbies. It was just the "old timers" for a long while there. It's a way to protect us from trolls who may just come to the board for the juicy stuff KWIM? 500 posts should be enough for us to all feel like we know you and are comfortable with you. happy.gif

Try not to take it personally. wink.gif

Jason, you are wrong. please don't take the changes personally. we have been discussing upping the post requirement since long before you were a member. it is just coincidence that the changes passed while you were here. if you notice, we have a lot of mods here who all vote on the amount... and there are quite a few who still think it is too low (me included). it has nothing to do with male members for me, it is more about the fact that a "newbie" can post 250-500 posts about nothing (ie he's so cute, i love that picture) and gain entry to info that i find very personal... yet i know NOTHING about them. you are aware of the previous drama here with fraudelent posters (both male and female) and that is what we are protecting our members from.

and the password change is only good sense and will continue to happen periodically. again, we have had some recent problems with fraudelent posters, and there is nothing stopping them from going to the local library or a friend's house and signing into that forum. it is for ALL members' protection and has nothing to do with gender discrimination. atm, there are at least 3 male members who have access to that board and i don't think anyone has a problem with that.

I am sorry you feel that way. I completely agree with what Cary and Kimberley have already said. I happen to think that 500 posts is too low as well, but that seemed to be a number everyone was comfortable with.

This is true, but we have to have a concrete measurement for granting access. Can you imagine how many people would be hurt if we just decided who got access to the P&I forum based on whether or not we like what they post. The current method seems to be the fairest way. Again, I am sorry you feel you were descriminated against, but this is not the case.

yes, you do and when you meet the post requirement, you will have access. smile.gif just because you are open, that doesn't mean everyone is, and there rules were set in place for those "other" people so i wish you wouldn't take it personally.

as for finding a daddy board, there are lots of them out there but none that are very active. my DH looked and joined a few and eventually left them all. and on other "parent" boards, he was made to feel very unwelcome because of his gender. that is why he stayed here... because the admin and moderators here are working as hard as they can to make this a welcoming environment for ALL parents.

if you have concerns or feel like you are being treated unfairly, you can always PM admin or a moderator and we will deal with it promptly. wink.gif

I would have already met the post requirements if they hadn't been changed AFTER I had joined. I think I'll go buy a car for 15,000 and after I sign the paperwork, let them charge me 18,000. smile.gif hahaha tongue.gif

You are not the only one that had joined before the post requirement was changed. It has already been explained why it was changed. If you want to discuss it further, please feel free to PM myself or another mod.
