So let's hear the sappy or not so sappy stories. Barry still has not officially purposed, so I will live out my romantic fantacies through you all.

Aaaahhh...sweet memories!

I was very pregnant with our first baby when Devlin proposed.

He invited me out for dinner as well as our parents.I asked him what the occassion was and he just said it was to celebrate my mum's birthday.That was a good enough explanation for me...

At this very fancy restuarant,while we were waiting for our food to arrive,he came over to me,asked for everyone's attention,got down on one knee...at that stage I just burst into tears. He told me how much he loved me and how he wants to spend the rest o his life loving me and our family.Then he asked me to be his wife and I said YES!!! He put the most beautiful engaement ring on my finger!!It is gold,it has Brianna's birth stone in it surrounded by smaller diamonds!!

I will never forgot that day...everything was so perfect and still is!!

It was my birthday and he arranged to take me to the swankiest resteraunt in town. We met my mom, step dad and aunt there too (birthdays are big with my family). I went to the bathroom and when I came back my mom and aunt were laughing but in tears. Apparently he had told them that he planned to propose that night. However he did not make it clear that he was going to do it after they left. LOL
I was wondering why my mom kept ordering more champange and dragging my birthday dinner out. Finally, they left and another bottle of champange showed up. I said "honey, I think I've had enough" but he said that we had already paid for it so we might as well have some. I got about halfway though my glass, listening to him go on and on about how great I was, before I realized that there was a ring in the bottom.

He got down on one knee and proposed.

It was very sweet but I sure wish I'd not had so much to drink while I was waiting for my family to leave. LOL

Well, I had just had surgery for endometriosis and Scotty was so incredibly sweet the whole time. He stayed by my bed and visited me on his lunch breaks all that week. I recovered fairly quickly, but AF arrived soon after the surgery and it was so painful. I was very sick. He had taken that weekend off and we went to his parent's house in east Texas which was about 3 hrs from home. His favorite cousin was getting married and he was in the wedding. On our way to the rehearsal dinner we talked about getting married and I told him I wanted it to be very intimate and private when he proposed...I didn't want him to do it in front of a crowd. After the rehearsal we went to the Reunion Tower in Downtown Dallas to get a drink with his cousin and her fiance. I knew something was up his sleeve and I thought he would propose then for sure, but he didn't.

The next day at the wedding he was acting very strange, as was his sister who was trying to keep me corraled. They were trying to keep me from seeing my parents, but when I saw my mom on the way to the bathroom I knew what he was up to. I pretended not to see them and played along. At the wedding reception, by the time they got to the bouquet toss I really knew what was going on. They went around whispering to all the other girls and when his cousin tossed the bouquet everyone backed up and the flowers landed right in my arms. I turned around to find Scotty on one knee with my ring in his hand. It was so sweet and I was so happy. I was on pain killers so in all the pictures I look really out of it.

Well, Saw's not really......particularly romantic. *laughing* in fact he was pretty childish before we found out about the new baby and all. We can't exactly "afford" much of ring right now. Anywho, we were sitting outside in the dark, looking at stars. he hauled me out there. I was opposed then because it was cold. He was humming this song about the keeper of the stars, it was so funny. Then he was singing it - you know just light and he dropped some money - he was digging in his pockets, and says 'get that, would you?' When I looked up he had the ring and he's like "Marry me?" . Wow. *laughing* that's so pathetic but it's romantic to me.

Well, we had my engagement ring custom made, so I knew it was going to happen.
But he did suprise me, it was very sweet, not overly romantic, but very sweet b/c he included Tanner..which was important to me b/c I've always told him that when he married me, he was marrying Tanner too(tanner is not biologically his). So I pulled into the driveway one afternoon when I came home from work. I turned towards the passenger seat to get my purse and things out of the car, when I turned back around Tanner and Rick were standing outside of the car, so I opened the door and as soon as I did, Tanner opened a little black box and said, "Mom..Rick wants to know if he can marry us"

The night before he proposed...we had a little talk and I told him I thought maybe we should take a break from each other because I thought he wasn't happy w/ me and that he never really did anything romantic for me. He cried and I felt so bad and I think it was one of those things where I said it but didn't mean it.

The next morning he made me stay in bed and went out and brought back some food and I had "lunch in bed" and he had picked me a flower.

We went to Outback and had dinner and we were supposed to go ice skating he said but he forgot whatever it was that we needed to go...good idea though because I was 4 months pregnant.

After Outback we took a walk around a pond. I knew what he was going to do...but I played along anyway. We finally got to a point where he stopped...got down on one knee and said..."I love you so much. You're my everything. And you'd make me the happiest man on earth if you would be my wife." And I said yes of course.

Well, my proposal from John wasn't that great at all. He was planning on taking me to the Square (which is realy pretty around winter time, decorated with lights) and go on a carrage ride, but knowing me I spoiled it by saying no it is too cold, since I do hate cold weather. So he wound up just setting it in the passenger side seat of his car when he pulled up to the front of a store to let me in the car, it was sitting in the seat I was about to get in inside of a beautiful jewlery box. He later told me that he had been planning to take me to the square since it was Christmas time to go on a carriage ride. I knew I would ruin my proposal someday. I am just so snotty some times. I still feel aweful!

This stories are all so romantic! Mine is not like that at all. We've always said that we would marry each other from being about sixteen, and when i was pregnant with cassie we decided that we still wanted to get married but I didn't want to be a pregnant bride so we would till after she was born. And then we set a date, and got married before the date we had set because we couldn't bebothered with stress of organising a wedding! ere so unromantic! xx

We had picked out the ring together, so I knew he had it, but wasn't sure when it was going to happen. About a month after we got the ring we went on a cruise, so I thought for sure that is when he would ask. When we got on the boat, he got this disappointed look on his face and said he couldn't believe he forgot the ring at home. So of course I was disappointed too, but we had a nice vacation anyway and enjoyed the islands. The second to last day of our vacation we ported in Aruba and got totally sun burned. That night, he wanted to take a walk by the back of the ship. It was late and really windy, but I agreed. We were just talking for a bit, then I said that I was cold and wanted to go to sleep. I started walking away and he says "I really didn't forget". When I turned around, he had the ring out, but he couldn't get down on one knee cause he was so sunburned.

Well I was 8 months preggo with Hanna and it was my birthday! Brian took me over to the gambling boat up in Indiana. And all day long he kept teasing me saying that he only got me a card with some money in it (which he knows I think is pretty impersonal for a birthday) and I was like no you didn't quit joking. All day long I went and he never gave me anthing, I was beginning to wonder. Well when we got to the boat I had said something about well if that is what you got me then I need the money while we're on the boat LOL so where is my card. He said my back pocket, I said there is no way my card is in your back pocket Brian you'd smush it, he started laughing and pulled out a room key for the hotel on the boat!! by this time I was excited, he said this is where your card is. So when we got to the room he had flowers and balloons all laid out on the bed and sure enough a card in the middle of the bed with $100 in it!!! I was thinking OK I'm fine with it now since I got roses and a night in a beautiful hotel! Well, I noticed he was getting really nervous! So, I went into the bathroom (as I had to a thousand times when I was 8 months pregnant) and when I came back out) he was down on one knee beside the bed and he asked me to come sit beside him, hje looked at me and said since we're on th eboat and we're gonna be gambling I thought you might want to take a gamble with me and be my wife....he opened up the most gorgeous ring I'd ever saw and I screamed YES and started crying! God he can be so sweet!

The only time I ever proposed. (well the times I dind't get SHOT DOWN anyway) was to Henry's mom. To state it nicely, the woman is insane.

She wouldn't get off my back all day long about how she wanted to get married. I mean I can understand a healthy desire to marry someone you love, but this was INSANE. Finally we got in this BLOW OUT fight, she punched me in the face (ugh) and I was sitting there and she goes "lets make up, okay? I dont want to fight anymore" and I was like..."Fine..I'll marry ya......if you want." she said yes. Then two days later I found out she was pregnant with henry.

hmmm well We had been talking about it pretty since the day we started "going out" officially well I actually think it was a little later on anyway we picked out some rings and on Valentines day he asked my parents and then he took me to a place where we had MANY late nights and before he even got the ring out I was crying and almost unsure (I was alittle nervous) and he asked me and I said yes of course.. it wasn't really romantic but I didn't really care!

I proposed over Thanksgiving weekend while on a short vacation to New York City. The original plan was to goto the top of the emprire state building on Friday when we got into NYC... but when we got there the line was about 2 hours long, and Alyssa didnt want to wait so we just ventured elsewhere.. Saturday morning we woke up and headed to the Statue of Liberty. I had the ring in a ring box, and hadn’t really thought about metal detectors.. we get to the checkpoint, I try and go through with it in my pocket - alarm goes off. I take off my sneakers and then quickly pull out the ring box and put it in my sneaker and send those through the side.. I get through then quickly pull the box out and put it in my pocket. Immediately the guy says, "WHAT WAS THAT???" I whispered, "a ring," he looked over and gave a, "ohhhhhhhhhhh" and sent us on our way. I still wanted to ask on top of the empire state building, so I held off. Eventually night time comes around, we head over to the empire state building... where, they have two more checkpoints! The first one I put it through the side thing with my other stuff and she didn’t notice.. the second checkpoint I shoved it into the diaper bag and that went through the xray machine.. phew... I got it through both of them!! I could've put it in the diaper bag to begin with, but if they had searched the bag they would've spotted it. So, we get to the top... look around, finally get to a small spot where its not hurricane winds.. i asked her to hold our son... then asked a guy to take a picture.. she said, "you tricked me" cuz she never wants pictures taken (she thought it was just for a picture)... then i dropped down, pulled out the box and said, "you thought i’d never ask this.... will you marry me?" (except i sort of choked up too at that point) and the tears built up and on went the ring and she said Yes!

Starting at the statue of liberty I thought I was going to have to ask her at a security checkpoint, but luck was on my side!

Well we were in the kitchen and we decided to move in together about 2 weeks before.He said "you know whats gonna happen...we are gonna move in and start talking about marriage" I said "ok...ill marry you tomorrow" and he agreed..after a few days we decided to do the whole wedding thing for the memories.I wanted to go and marry him everyday after that moment in the kitchen wedding or not.

Jason and I had been together for 3 years when he proposed. We were at a jewelry store about a month before just looking at stuff and I saw a ring that I fell in love with. So we are at my mom and dads house. Also my sister and her husband were there from out of town. All of a sudden, he says: Well, everyone knows how much I love Martha so I just have something to ask her. He says baby you know how much I love you and I know I want to be with you for the rest of my life. I couldn't breathe without you. Will you marry me! And the ring he gave me was the one from the store that I loved. It was soo special. Also I found out that before he asked to marry me, he asked my dad first even though we already lived together. It was so romantic.
