Well, as much as I've hated having a feeding tube in my daughter, it's paying off because she's gained 2 lbs. in one month. We've been meeting with the OT about getting her to eat more food and I think we'll start making some progress.
I just wanted to tell you our good news. Emma is 3 oz. away from being 20 lbs!

Wahoo! Way to Grow Emma!!! biggrin.gif

My new daycare providers son is also small and he ended up with a feeding tube last week too. Poor kids. sad.gif I'm glad that it's paying off though. That's so great!

K is still at the bottom of the chart (22.5 lbs @ 2yrs) but the doc says that as long as she follows the curve, she's fine.

I wonder how prevalent it is for young kids to get feeding tubes? We're hoping to get the tube out by Christmas is not sooner. If she can prove to us and the OT that she can eat a good volume of food in one sitting and keep her weight up that way, then the tube will be history. Once she realizes that she doesn't have a choice, maybe it will click.
