My son drank 4 oz at 2 weeks old and moved up to 6 oz a little before being 2 months old. My ped always said it was fine as long as he wasn't just eating a whole bunch and then spitting up. He always said when he got to the point of consistently emptying bottles to make a little more and he would drink it if still hungry. So, if it were me, I would make 5 oz and see if he drinks it. HTH

he sounds like he is drinking the right amount to me if you want to try 5 then go for it at least at first and if he doesn't finish it then you know that its too much
