I was told the rule of thumb was if you can take it while you are pregnant then you can take it while nursing.

My doctor recommended it to me instaed of any prescription pain killers after my C-Section and he knew I was nursing. He had me on a regimen of one time, Ibuprofen and one time tylenol, alternating. I can't say what your dr would recommend, just what mine did.
