Okay Raygen has a diaper Rash. Its pretty bad. She has had diarieah (spelling?) pretty bad latley so it is tearing her lil bottom up. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what to put on it? I have tried Balmex (dont work) Butt Paste (its okay) and baby powder. I dont let her sit around in a wet diaper so I cant figure why its not healing. Does anyone have any advice what I can do to make it better?

I use Desitin, but when Jack had it BAD once my mom told me to mix vaseline and corn starch and pile it on - that worked..............mix it in a small bowl and be generous

I seem to remember Brenda (Jaimison'smama) having some diaper rash mixture, not sure. Are you letting her air dry a bit, meaning let her roam around w/o diaper on a little so air gets to it? Does it look like a yeast rash at all?

Aquaphor and lotrim works great. I know our pharmacy at krogers makes this stuff called sallys butt cream that works great it has a mixture of things in it.

Have her sit in a warm bath everyday, then coat her butt with desitin/balmex/butt paste/etc. (whatever you have) and sprinkle some corn starch in her diaper. The bath water will help the area get clean and moisturized, and the other stuff will help seal the skin from the bacteria and acid in the poopie. Good luck sweetie!! hug.gif

i use desitin too, but when it gets really bad I use Dyprotex. I get it at walgreens. It doens't come in a tube, it comes in little square "compacts" like make up and you apply it with a sponge applicator. It REALLY works.

we used triple paste, you can get it at any pharmacy but its kept behind the counter you have to ask the pharmacist for it. It works great!
I keep it on hand for just those kind of situations.
good luck wavey.gif
