Chloe lost her two bottom teeth but was sick so we told her the Tooth Fairy wouldn't come over until she got better.... the truth was we didn't have any single dollar bills to leave under her pillow... -------------------- Convincing the world that the only way to solve the ongoing issues while raising children is PERSISTENCE. You have to keep trying things and not give up........ they eventually go away on their own. ;-)

I actually only had a $10 with me and had to give that or nothing. That's a lot to get from the tooth fairy, but I told her it was because the 7th tooth is a special one because that's how old she is and so the tooth fairy gives a bonus.

I didn't want her to expect that much every time.

Though, unlike you, my ds did wake up to discover nothing under his pillow. I said, "Wait here, let me go check..." and quickly slipped a bill between mattress and boxspring saying, "Oh, here it is, it must have fallen down in your sleep..."
