So what did you end up wearing to that function? Or have you not gone yet? Did you buy anything new? Curious minds want to know...And to see pics!

It's Nov. 1.
 Today I bought some straight leg black pants that have a really light pin stripe in them. Do you think that's okay? I got them at Ann Taylor and they fit really nicely. I haven't found a shirt yet. I will keep looking. I have a couple of weeks yet.  I'm thinking silver?  |

I think silver would be great, but even throwing in a bright color like an emerald green or cobalt blue would work too. Unless of course the pin-stripes seem to look really white, kwim? You could always do black on black too. And then do something bright as a purse. Gosh, I talk like I'm some expert.
 These are just some ideas of course. I think the pants sound great! What about this top? I really love that bright purple. And the high neck seems very chic to me! The pinstripes are so light you can't really tell they are there, but I liked them b/c I thought they would be more dressy.
I love both of those. I wish I could pull off the low cut. I'd like to think I look that good, but in reality I know I don't.  This is one I really loved, but I have too much back fat.   |

Oh wow, that silver one is GORGEOUS! I bet you could pull it (and the others) off just fine.

I ended up getting a purple cowl neck shirt at Target to wear. It's long sleeve and has a belted waist. It's so pretty on!! I never knew purple would look good on me.
I got the invitation to this deal, too. They say no cameras inside, but I will be sure to get a pic of Scotty and I outside the hotel. I just can't promise any pics of the car. |
