Well my little Munchkin Toes' bilirubin level is going up (checked this morning). So now he's on the light blanket thing.

Aww that's too bad! Andrew had high bilirubin levels and we ended up having to stay at the hospital longer than we wanted to because they wanted to keep him under the lights until they went down. I hope Liam's go down soon - it's nice that you can have him at home at least!

Yeah, Erin had it too and the poor little thing had to get her heel poked for 4 or 5 days after we left the hospital. But, as was mentioned before, at least you are home!

Casey,I know how hard it is..Kameron's levels were high too,so we had to use the lights on him at home too..But the one we used went around his whole stomach/chest area..That was 11 yrs ago though..LOL..I think the hardest part for me was him having to get his heel stuck for about a week til his levels went down..Hopefully his levels will hurry and go down..

This seems to happen so frequently but I never really knew until I had my son. We had to put him under the lights as well. They put a mask over his eyes and all my husband said was "He looks like Batman!".
I'm sure your little one's level's will go down soon. This post has been edited by Marissa on Sep 13 2010, 11:46 AM |
