We have 3 now. And are just now discussing the addition of one more. I think we'll stop after 4. My girls had grown up enough before my youngest was born, that we were able to start doing more things.... now it's all back to the little kid stuff for me. Hanging out in kiddy land at the amusement parks, you know? I love little babies soooo much.. but I've also had a taste of the older kids and they are just a blast! So much to look forward to!

Loralie is our 1st child. We plan on trying for another in a few years when we move & buy a house. I think the max we may every go is 3 & then we'll be getting fixed.

Currently there is just Peyton, (6 months old), but we are planning on trying for another one in December....
My goal is to be pregnant three times, but have four kids...DH and I would love to have twins!!! I am an identical twin and would love to have to the same age...yes, lots of work, but totally worth it. Of course, if I have to be pregnant four times, than so be it!! Dawn -------------------- Dawn

I answered "undecided" as, frankly, it isn't up to us as long as my dh and I are in good health. We intend to receive from the Lord any and all babies He send our way. The Bible is very clear that it is He Who opens the womb and allows/causes conception (not just a man and wife). We figure He knows what size our family should be, better than we do So far, we have 6 wonderful children and I am pregnant with another... provided all goes well, it may be that He blesses us again in another year. ?? ?? I don't think we are crazy BTW, because honestly, these are the Father's children, not just ours, and it is He Who provides for them --- dh and I, we have to be responsible for them and responsible to follow as He leads us and to be wise stewards of all that He gives us, including our time and money. But the Bible tells us that children are a blessing and we have no intention of telling God to quit blessing us as long as *I* can physically handle pregnancy and birth and motherhood. I'm sure we must sound nuts...

Zemirah, I hope I did not offend you with the poll and the little joke with 8 or more. It was just my attempt at humor, since I am a little overwhelmed with Ashley. Although, she is the love of my life and truly a blessing!
You sound like you have such a wonderful family... I can feel the love just from your post! -------------------- |

Zemirah, I'm curious.. do you nurse your children? That is really wonderful you have so many.. I'd love a big family. For me, 4 will be big though, lol! After our dd died (my 3rd) I thought for sure I wanted at least 2 more. We've got one.. so we may go for another before too much longer.

We're done! 3 boys are enough for us! Now to get dh *snipped* He is dragging his feet on asking the dr. for a referral. Guess I can't blame him

My brother had that done... said it was nothing. Although before hand, he was a little hesitant... "what if they mess up" LOL I wonder what my brother would think of me talking about him "getting Snipped" on here.

Your boys remind me of my siblings and me. I am the youngest of 3 boys myself And the age differences are very similar too. |

I'm sure your brother would be mortified! I know my dh has been talking a lot to his buddies at work about getting snipped. Hopefully I can get him to get it done before we have 3 more boys to contend with
TLCDad - were your older brothers really competitive and did they drive your mother nuts??? It's already happening here! -------------------- Heather - mommy to 3 boys

Uhm yep. I am sure my mother can definitely relate. Of course I am sure I helped too. But then again by the time I got "that age" she already knew how to handle me |

We keep talking about two, but I have always wanted three. Dh says we will probably have another boy for our second, and then a little down the road we'd want to try for a girl...hehe. I just found out recently that my dh secretly yearns for twins the next time around . They run in my family on both sides, and Aidan was a clomid baby, which means i'll probably need it again....so you never know

DH wants one more (one for the thumb as he says!), but I'm not sure. I have my hands full with 3 boys & 1 girl already! My sons are from my first marriage, and I think DH really wants a son of his own (but he won't tell me that). And we don't really have the room for one more, so I'm not sure what we would do there . I thought I was done when I left my EX, but I was wrong there!
Any advice would be appreciated! Mollie |

If I could vote (havent joined yet, actually dont know HOW to. roflmbo), I would have to vote undecided for the same reason as Zemirah. We leave our number of children and their spacing up to God. Figure He knows better than we do on teh matter.
We didn't always feel that way, though, and still wanted a "larger" family then. When I was in elementary school I always said "a baker's dozen" (13). When dh and I got married I told him I wanted 5 or 6. Between #3 and #4 I started feeling pulled towards giving it all to God. But it wasn't until after #5 that dh felt the same way. #6 is coming in July. ) I'm 29, so there is time to still get that baker's dozen I always wanted. and for those who may be curious, our children are: 8yog, 5.5yog, 4.5yog, 3yog and 17mob. #3 was the first to be nursed to a year and so far that's been as long as we've gone. I get pregnant around a year and the whole nursing time changes and they dont want ME anymore! whaaaa! The average age difference is 20mo. Funny, I like that spacing best, too! Better than 2.5yr and not as hard as 11mo was. Jenn |

I don't have any advice, but wanted to say that I am in the "thinking about it" stage too. All I can say is that we have to follow our hearts. -------------------- |

I am seriously contemplating making Annika an only child by choice. I know this sounds horrible but I think it would be less expense having another. We have a college fund for her set up and I can't guarentee I can afford another.
