Is there a quick reply option I can't find. i.e. has quick reply box at bottom of thread so you don't have to click "reply". I've checked "fast reply" in My Controls, but don't see a change.
Is there a way to have forums marked as read when I quit my browser or does this only work when I log off? Thanks. -------------------- Convincing the world that the only way to solve the ongoing issues while raising children is PERSISTENCE. if you go to the main forum page here you can mark all posts as read in the bottom right corner.
as for quick reply, not sure what you are asking. there is "add reply" in every post. works pretty quick for me lol -------------------- mama to Jacob, James, Jade, Kaleigh and Riley!!

Thanks for the reply, Kymberly.
Yes, I've seen that button for marking forums read. It seems like on other forums, just quitting out of my browser will mark them read... just as if I logged off. The "quick reply" is a text box at the bottom of a forum thread where you can type directly into (usually) without clicking any buttons. i.e it's always there. This is what it looks like: Many forum programmers leave them out because it reduces people posting just for the sake of post count. -------------------- Convincing the world that the only way to solve the ongoing issues while raising children is PERSISTENCE. We have the quick reply at my county mommies site and it's really handy.

Closing my browser works to mark the posts as read - I never log out. I use Mozilla most often, but I occasionally use IE and it works for both.

Yes we have the ability, but I choose the disadvantages outway the advantages which is why I have it disabled.

Thanks Rod. That's kinda what I thought.
The new posts function resets if I'm idle for a bit, but not when I quit the browser (Mac using Firefox). Not a biggie.
