My baby boy was born last Saturday. The hospital did three hearing screening tests two days later. One test shows both ears failed (left sweeps: 15076, right sweeps: 15070); One test shows left ear pass (Left sweeps: 8561, right sweeps: 15109); the third test shows right ear pass and left fail (left sweeps: 15121, right sweeps: 10081).
We are so worried and confused. What does 'sweep' mean? what shall we do? Please help us! With Gratitude, Forrest |

I would call your Pediatrician. Did they give you any guidance on what to do next? My daughter failed her first one too, but I was told that it was probably due to left over amniotic fluid in there. she passed a few days later.

((hugs)) I am not help as I don't know either, but I just wanted to give some hugs. It is so confusing when you get mixed information. I would ask your ped, and then also ask for some information so that you can read up on it yourself.
