I visited another gym last night. It was nice...so much better than the gym I belonged to. The guy told me that places like that are great to start out in..an all lady's gym, less intimidating, smaller, fewer machines, etc. But, pretty soon you hit a plateau and they can't offer you anything more. They have one machine for each muscle group and you don't get variety. Sound familiar? That's exactly where I'm at. So, I guess it's a good thing that my gym closed. Otherwise I would have stayed there and been frustrated much longer.

I'm checking out another gym today. It's a Lifetime Fitness...just opened 2 days ago. It's a bit more expensive but they have so much more to offer. They are open 24/7 and have longer childcare hours. They do things with the kids...lots of activities, etc. They have swim lessons for the kids. I could put Ethan in childcare and take Maddie swimming with me (indoor and outdoor pool with kiddie areas). We'll see. I'm excited to see it.

That does sound great!!! I would LOVE to go to a gym with a pool but there are none around here and I know I won't drive 1/2 hour to go to the gym.

Lifetime Fitness sounds awesome. I was a member of a gym that, at first, seemed great, but after awhile it just didn't have enough to offer. So, I was exactly where your at once, and I switched to a gym with more to offer. It's just so much better
