To start you all know I tend to be a really lax parent. My rules are basically go with manners and respect for others, ones things and parents.
However I don't usually fight Mya over eating super healthy, what she wears (unless it's not weather appropriate) or her hair (as long as it is not a tangled mess). She paints her nails, dyes her hair with natural product hair dye, She has her basic ear piercing twice. I think I have allowed her enough and even told her I will be fine if she wants a tattoo at 21. Now she wants a third ear piercing because her bff is getting one. Brad says yes I say No I just am not into sheep activities (getting things because your friends are).. What are your thoughts on this? -------------------- Mya 7-1-00 |

I'm gonna say no, but You and I differ in our parenting styles. I wouldn't let her do any of the other things you listed either. LOL. My kids really don't know how bad they have it.

LOL Tara Ud be surprised at how crunchy I really am at a lot of things.
Anyhoo I just think a third eating on a ten year old looks trashy. I dunno. -------------------- Mya 7-1-00 |

I agree.. I think 10 is a bit young. Maybe you can say that if she still wants it when she's 12 or 13 then you'll talk about it then.

Tell her if she still wants it in 8 months then maybe you'll reconsider.

Well honestly I think thats pretty um more than trashy on a 10 year old.. I agree I would NOT let her have another. Two IMO is too much for a 10 year old.. however I would allow it when she is 16 or 17
