What time does your toddler go to bed?
Cate goes to sleep about 8pm..I was just wondering if this is the norm?
It seems to be working well for her, but I have friends that put their children the same age as her to bed alot earlier 6:30-7p and alot later 10p..

My 3 yr old goes to bed at 10, and 4 yr old at 10:30. We choose to do a later bedtime because DH doesn't get home from work until 3 am so this way they sleep in until 10am or so and he doesn't have to get up with them as early since I am normally gone to work before they get up.

8-8:30. Depends on her mood. DH gets home around 3-5 so he wants that time to spend with her.

7:30 here. During the summer it's more like 8pm. Of course there are days, esp. on weekends, when we are out and about and it may be later. The common average bedtime though is 7:30ish. I have had friends who allowed a much later bedtime on a regular basis, then once school started they had a hard time adjusting to it. I want to refrain from dealing with that. Most people I know have an 8 pm bedtime.

Lissa is almost 3 and we shoot for 8. In the summer it often ends up being later than that but we try. happy.gif

If Erin naps she isn't ready for bed until 9 or 9:30, sometimes 10. If not it's 8:30 or 9:00. With school coming up we will have to work toward the 8:30 or 9 again regardless. But while I can put her in her room I can't make her sleep. dry.gif

The other question is when do yours get up? Erin wakes up around 6:30 no matter when she goes to bed - unless she has had a particularly odd day and is extra tired, then it may be 7 or so.

Both the boys are like that. No matter what time they go to bed, they will NOT sleep in. dry.gif So, if they were to have a later bedtime, they would both be absolute bears the next morning! wacko.gif

Tanner will sleep til 7 if Aiden doesn't wake him up. Aiden gets up at the buttcrack of dawn. About 6:15 or so. I usually do not physically get him up until 6:30/6:45 though. He will sometimes fall back asleep for another half hour or he will lay there quietly for a bit until I go get him.

We take Avery to her room at 7:00, read a story and put her in bed. She always "reads" some books while she's in bed and will usually fall asleep by 8:00. She's up at 7 everyday though....no matter what.

We shoot for 8:30ish, but this summer it seems like we have been out playing till later than that some. When school is in bedtime is a lot stricter.

All of mine go to bed at 7:30-pushing 8:30 in the summer. now Johnny actually going to sleep might happen right away or he might keep getting out of bed until 10...but the older two actually go down when they are supposed to.

During the school year, they all go to bed at the same time, even my oldest, and that time is between 8:00 and 8:30. During the summer, they've all been up later- usually its between 9:00 and 9:30.

When Mason was younger, we'd typically have him in bed by 7:30, no matter what time the other two went down. The different times is getting harder to manage as they age though!
