ok, so we used to use the stroller, and then it was the playpen, but now andrew knows he is mobile and he wants to be on the go outside..
but we have concrete and then the grass is not the greatest..what do you do with this age outside? we are thinking of one of those push cars? -------------------- Stacy, wife to Peter, mom to Caleb, Jakob, and Andrew

I'd definitely get a ride-on toy for him, possibly one that he can also push from behind, for when he decides he wants to walk some. Will loved those types of toys at that age.
They even have a cool Big Wheel looking thing that they sit/pedal that has a removable handle bar for you to actually push/control it. And even if the grass isn't great, dirt never hurt anybody... as long as he's happy playing and there aren't any ant beds for him to get into, I say let him have at it. -------------------- |

How about a walker or something. You can always put shoes on them so there feet arent on the concrete.

he has mastered our walker..thats what I had been doing up till the point. he has now learned to climb out of it..well almost out. so i am afraid he might fall. and he can make himself go so fast and then picks up his legs and just sails..
our grass is next to our side walk and garden which is filled with mulch and he goes right for it and eats it. I have a large plastic red car, but he fell out the bottom of it... so as you see, andrew has been going thru trial and error here.. i needed something with a seat belt but something that he can be mobile in -------------------- Stacy, wife to Peter, mom to Caleb, Jakob, and Andrew

A rider/pusher is great becaue he'll be mobile..Wagon rides are what my little one has loved this year as well as bubbles and sidewalk chalk!!
they also make these cute little flintstone looking cars that I want to get that the little one can sit in and move his feet!! They are very cute and I see toddlers of all ages on these! |

I was going to suggest a wagon or a ride on he could also push around too.

I am afraid to try the wagon for fear he will climb out or attempt to stand up...he is a real young one yr old if that makes sense...he just started the climbing and taking steps about two weeks ago.
and he puts everything in his mouth..so we cant do chalk.. -------------------- Stacy, wife to Peter, mom to Caleb, Jakob, and Andrew

Lots and lots of balls. A small slide would work well too. Aiden loves to play on the small jungle gym at the park that they have for his age.
