Hello everyone I came here looking for a little advice and hoping someone has gone through what I am going through in hopes of shedding some light. Let me start with some background information.
When I was 5 weeks pregnant I was diagnosed via ultrasound with a subchorionic hemorrhage. It all started with severe abdominal cramping and some bleeding. When I went to the ER they gave me the diagnosis and sent me home with the reassurance that I was not having a miscarriage. I was set up a specialist about a half hour from me and went to weekly appointments where it was confirmed and I was placed on strict bed rest. Weeks went by and the bleed did not grow in size. And while I still cramped everything appeared to me OK. When I went to the doctors last week for my usual ultrasound we discovered that my bleed had doubled in size to 3.5inches. He ordered about 12 different blood tests and told me to go home and lay down. He also added that I start taking baby aspirin. Over the weekend the cramping grew worse and I figured it was just irritation of my uterus from the bleed... until Sunday night. Sunday night it became extremely painful and I finally gave in and went to the ER. The hospital in my town does not have an ultrasound tech on the weekends so I was sent home after some lab work. On Tuesday I went back to see my doctor and we discovered that the bleed had grown another .25unches to make it a total of 3.75 inches in length. Just to add. I am currently 15 weeks and 3 days. I was 15 weeks and 2 days when the bleed was found to have grown another .25 inches. Now then, my doctor and I are at a lose of what to do to stop the bleed from continuing to grow. The complications that could arise scare me not to mention the possibility of my cervix giving out and me losing the baby. Does anyone have any suggestions that could help me? |
