So I have to get the freezer supply up again because I have a couple things to be away from her - anyways.......so i fed her jsut now on the left side - all good. i thought I would pump the right side for the freezer, very little came out - like 1 oz......WTH? I can usually do 4-6 oz in no time at all - anyone know????

Have you been nursing her only on the left and pumping on the right? Thats the only thing I can think of, if demand on your right is slow b/c you aren't feeding her there too or not pumping regularly.

What about your supply in general, does it seem right on with how she's eating? If so, and you want to stock up, you may need to pump between feedings...I know it's a catch 22 b/c then you have to continue that extra pumping session but it might be worth a shot.

Am I making any sense? I'm loaded up on cold and flu medicine and it doesn't sound like it's coming out right laugh.gif

Some days it's like that. I don't know why... lots of factors. You could just be slowing down, which happens when your body regulates down to what she is actually taking. One thing you could try to do is pump at the same time you are nursing. Your let down is far better triggered by baby than by the pump, so you'll benefit more on the pumping side. Don't base it all on one day though - like I said, some days your supply just wanes. dunno.gif

I agree, some days my body just seemed "low". Could it be you're not drinking enough water? Or eating enough? Maybe add more water to your diet and see what happens. Like Amy said, don't base it on one day. I'm sure tomorrow things will pick up.

What Amy said. thumb.gif tongue.gif I had days when I had a huge amount, and others where it was not much. A lot of it has to do with let down.
