I always have that egg-white CM when I am ovulating. But since we may be trying to conceive soon I am wondering if you ovulate when you're having the EGCM, before you have it or after you have it. I have no other signs of ovulation, so this is the best I can do at trying to make sure we DTD at the right times.
Thanks! blush.gif biggrin.gif

You have it before you ovulate, but it's the type of cm that will sustain sperm until ovulation. Then, usually the day after ovulation, the egg-white disappears. So basically, when you see egg-white, go for it!

Dh and I are getting ready to try again- and I'm using fertilityfriend.com to help me chart all of the signs, plus I take my temp every morning. I just had my iud removed, so I'm trying to figure out my cycle still.

Yup...when you see the eggwhite, go for it. It can help sprem survive up to between 5 and 7 days. Go for it every SECOND day...not every day...because apparently the potency of the little swimmers isn't up to par if you do it every day.

PS - male sperm swim faster, but don't survive as long. (3 days-ish) and female sperm are slower, but can survive longer (5 days-ish)

ETA: Is it true that the woman having an 'O' during the deed is not good for conceiving?

I actually heard the opposite is true. Let's hope so, for your sake! rolling_smile.gif
