For those of you who truly hate to exercise, like me, how do you get yourself to do it? I want to get in shape for a trip this summer but I just do not feel like it! Everyone says once you get going it's worth it, but how do you get going?

You just get up and get going! wink.gif

This is what I do.....*cheese alert*

Every morning I say to myself "Just Do It!" Then I try to make excuses, waste some time around the house, lie around on my butt, make more excuses and tell myself again "Just get up and go...just do it!!" Then I go and the entire way there these things are going thru my mind of what I'd rather be doing..still making excuses. rolleyes.gif

I get to the gym and as soon as I set foot in the door I feel the adrenaline and on my laziest days I spend no less than an hour there. thumb.gif

You can't make changes in how you look and feel until you've made that decision to change. wink.gif Nope, it isn't easy and it never will be, but if you want it bad enough you will get up and get moving. I don't think initially anyone LOVES exercise. I love it now b/c exercise makes me feel so great about myself. But, that doesn't happen overnight.

I'm not one to exercise at home, either. I just can't. tongue.gif

I think thats my problem. I figure at home it'll always be there. If I went to the gym I'd be there for that purpose, do it, and be done.

For me home is the only place I can go because I can't take any more time away from my children than I already do and it's EXTREMELY tough not getting to work out til 8 pm or so. BUT with all that said I dread it all the way up until I actually do it. As soon as I get going, most days I feel better that I did it. Or like yesterday I was counting the minutes down while I was doing it because I really didn't want to. tongue.gif You just HAVE to make yourself do it. Tonight was my dinner night out. I had to promise myself that if I splurged on food then I HAD to work out. So I did. Tonight's not a normal workout night for me.
