I had an OB appt today and they checked my cervix...only because I told the doc that I've been having pretty heavy and consistent BHC. So she checked and said that I'm pretty thinned out...like at 75%!!! ohmy.gif But no dillation.

Anyhow, does anyone know what that could mean? I went to 41 weeks with Wil with about NO effacement and maybe a 1 dillation. So I'm not used to this! Could it mean I may go early? Or could I stay like this for many more weeks? Just wondering if effacement really is no big deal. Doc didn't really say much except that she wants to see me weekly from now on.

Something is happening though! smile.gif

well your body sure is getting ready for the big day isn't it?

I was dialated 2cm and 50% effaced for 2 months with Lauren though. Started during Thanksgiving and finally delivered on New Years Eve. Hopefully it will go faster for you.

I walked around 2 cm dliated for over a month, and I delivered right on my due date- so it doesn't necessarily mean you will go early- just that the big event is coming closer.

Same here, and effaced at 75% and still, right on the money with Macie.

With the twins I was 3cm for the last 5 weeks but was also on bedrest and medication to keep me from going early.

Like everyone says, it's just one of those things that no one can really answer!!!
I will say, once you get something going down there..and it sounds like you have...I would walk around as much as you can and go up and down stairs a million times!! That is what I did with Brae once I had a little "activity" down there and two days after I started my heavy activity regiment, I was in the hospital at almost 4 cm dialted!
