Who's ready for Friday?, S&TC Movie

Anyone else going to see Sex & The City this weekend? I can't wait! My bf from 8th grade and I have a girls night planned, dinner and a movie!! I'm SO excited!!

I can't imagine how anyone could leave their newborn to go see a movie .

I didn't leave mine for a movie, but I left all three of mine as newborns for short periods of time....an hour or two here and there. Everyobody did just fine

You can't? Why not. As long as she's not a fussy one and you go during a time when she's sleeping or she'll eat then heck, why not?

I don't agree - why can't you leave a newborn - even if you went to a movie - my gosh if all heck arises you are only a phone call and probably a short ride away - Mommies - especially new Mommies need time too and Newborns need their Daddies too

I agree. Jeff loved spending time alone with Avery when she was first born. It's a good way for them to bond as well. And that's what they make breastpumps for.

Oh, and in regards to the movie, I will not be seeing it. I never was a fan of Sex in the City. I'm more excited for "The Strangers".

Well, I disagree. Newborns need their MOMMIES, and mommies need to be with their babies. If the theaters weren't so loud, I'd bring the baby with me before leaving him/her as a NB. But I'm weird like that, and devote as much time & energy to my kids as I can.

I personally think Daddies should devote as much time and energy to their kids as well. I don't think it should be all up to the Moms. But, to each their own.

I think that was the best joke i've heard yet today and I've been at work with my buddy co-worker since 7 am and he tells awful jokes!

I'm Sure this Beautiful, healthy Baby girl will not be tramatized by her father nurturing her for a coupple hours. Heaven forbid he wants to bond with his child. Babies need their daddies too. Ever hear the saying "daddies girl" ?

No, I won't be going to Sex & the City. I never got in to it. I do think, however, that it would be a LOT of fun to go see it with a bunch of girlfriends. I hope you have an AWESOME time!!!!!!

Ooops - Ditto - Have a Ball - I never really watched that show so I think I would be lost - my GFs invited me to go Saturday nite too but not sure I will - Have a GREAT time!!!

Maybe that's a lot of the reasons you and your DH are disconnected Mollie. I'm not trying to be rude. You have openly discussed this on the boards several times, so I'm just offering some friendly advice. This may very well be a problem.

Oh wow I did NOT mean to start anything I actually probably would go if it was a good time BUT she is a kinda a fussy baby and I would have to drive and hour to go see it. My local theater wont have the movie until it is about to come out on dvd

Holley and I are going to see it together. Since I have no kids I am going to head to P-Cola for the weekend. It's kind of funny because I didn't become a fan of the show until after it had ended. The show used to come on during a time at night that Jordan liked to nurse. Well I got hooked and decided to go buy the DVDs. I can't wait to see what the girls have been up too.
