I am ashamed to say I have never actually gotten fitted for a bra. Have all of you? Is this something you call and make an appt. for or just go in and then ask them to measure you? We do not have a v/s or macy's or any good stores like that here. We have a JcPenneys and Younkers. That is about it for stores where I would ask to be fitted.

I have only been fitted because my mother FORCED me to, when I was in high school. LOL I was WAY wearing the wrong size bra ... lol I was wearing a B and I should have been wearing a D and my mom knew it but I wouldn't listen ... LOL
Since then, I know now what it feels like to wear a bra that fits!! -------------------- Jessica

I would say go into the bra department at JCPennys and ask the girl at the desk if there was someone who could fit you - They have to have someone there who can help

i was fitted for a bra and it was very helpful... not going to lie- having another women in the fitting room with me- with my shirt off and her measuring my chest was a little uncomfortable but in the end who cares!! i was more shy about that then i was on the labor bed! now that i am breastfeeding my bra size jumped from a D to who knows what and i am going to walk in to the local clothing store and heck yes i am going to ask them to size me- walking out in comfort is the most important thing to me!

I know darn well I'm wearing the wrong size but I still haven't gotten fitted...I keep telling myself once I lose weight I'll go....we'll see.
Where else can you go but VS and Macy's? We don't have a Macy's and VS doesn't carry my size and I would feel a bit guilty going just for the fitting and not buying anything....though if I wait until I lose weight hopefully my chest will shrink too and then maybe they will have my size! |

Nearly any department store will do a bra fitting. I had one done at Dillard's here when I lost my first 20 pounds.

I never have, I've always felt too silly or it seems like when I'm at the mall, I always have one of the kids with me or something where I'd have to have them in the dressing room and that's weird IMO.
I THINK I wear the proper size- I follow the recommendations and all that and I can definitely tell when a bra is either the wrong size or if its not fitting right anymore after washing. I did hear a statistic once that something like 60% of women wear the incorrect bra size! This post has been edited by Brias3 on Sep 18 2007, 08:15 PM -------------------- |

I am going to go to Penneys tonight and ask to be fitted. I sooo know I am wearing the wrong size. My breasts are like falling out in some places and the bra is loose in other places. I hope it isnt some 19 year old chick or I may chicken out because their breasts are still in the right place. Wish me luck

I didn't have my first fitting until this year, I believe. Maybe late last year. I wasn't real impressed with it . I went to VS and they sized me at a lower cup size. So I bought several bras, took them home and wore one around the house and my breasts were flying out like crazy. I went back and got my size I normally wore and have been wearing that size ever since. I also went to Macy's and got sized and they sized me at the size I have always worn.
