Ok i have had sleep problems for awhile. Like a couple of times a year i would go through this period where i couldn't sleep for like a week and then i would be fine. Since i got pregnant i had trouble sleeping. Not really thinking anything of it. Just thought it was because i couldn't get comfortable and the whole being pregnant thing. My DD is now 9 months old and i don't feel like sleep at all anymore. It horrible. I am starting to freak out here. I went to the doctor and she gave me Lunesta and wanted me to cut out the caffiene. So that is what i have been doing. Well it took some time to help but it finally did. Couple of weeks i was getting better sleep not great but better. Now again i can't get a good nights sleep. I also take sarafem for PMD. I don't understand. The thing is that i could fall asleep during the day fine and not want to get up after an hour or so, but at night i can't stay alseep. Sometime just to get in some sleep i will take a nap when dd does. When she wakes up i can't bring myslef to get up. I feel bad, because i feel like i am not taking care of her like i should if i lay down. I will just lay there and let her stay in her crib. How horrible of me is that. So i haven't taken anymore naps when she does because i need to be there for her. I really just want some sleep. I go back to the doctor on the 8th of july. I just don't know what else to do. Anyone have any ideas. I also work about 28 hours a week for a dentist.

Sometimes I may have a hard time sleeping at night because I am worrying about the next day and my brain wont shut down. If I don't sleep I get migraines from tension etc. I have a muscle relaxer I take that helps my mind to shut down to sleep. The reason you can sleep in the day is you are exhausted and that is why you are having a hard time waking up.
What I recommend is getting a set sleep schedule every night as far as what you do before bed. If it is 15 of going thru the mail, ten minutes of tv, a shower, ten minutes watching the baby sleep, ten minutes of clearing your head and then bed. ONce your body establishes a routine your brain will slowly readjust. Also keep taking the meds for a few days as part of your routine to trick your brain. -------------------- In loving memory of Great-Grandma Wright 3-26-06.
