Gold Member Group: Members Posts: 2,917 Member No.: 3,075 Joined: 9-January 06	Everything is going ok! I was slow to gain in the beginning and in 3 weeks I gained 12lbs, and I am measuring large. It is looking like there is a good possibility that I have Gestational Diabetes. I have gained at total of 18lbs so far this pregnancy. I go back to the Dr. in two weeks and from now until then I am supposed to watch my sugars and carbs. and see if that makes a difference in the weight gain. Everything looks great though. He is growing good (obviously) and I am doing good!! Just need to watch my sugars!! I get my shot every Thursday and they are going good!! Thinking of you Spencer! Group: Members Posts: 12,708 Member No.: 156 Joined: 4-May 03	It could also be water retention. I had that with this one. I gained 12 pounds in 4 weeks. And it kept doing that no matter what i ate. Finally it slowing down. Are your ankles and fingers getting swollen because thats a sign for sure. Sorry if it GD... (((HUGS))) --------------------

Gold Member Group: Members Posts: 2,917 Member No.: 3,075 Joined: 9-January 06	No swelling. Also GD is common in women who have PCOS which I have . So the cards aren't looking good in my favor. We are working on me keeping better eating habits so that should help. Either way, if I do or don't 12 lbs in 3 weeks is WAY to much weight for me. They are worried about me meausring large in combo with the weight gain which is a good indicator!! It will just mean watching my carbs and sugars which I can do.
