Our daughter has stage 4 urinary reflux. Has anyone here gone through this with their child? The doctor said we should put her on antibiotics of a couple years then do surgery if it does not get better. Did you child go through this surgery? If so how was it? The doctor said it is minor but I doubt that. I am also worried about putting her on antibiotics for that long. The doctors said the worst that can happen is that she become immune. I am guessing they fell asleep the day in med school when they were to learn about liver damage.
I don't know. Everything about this worried me. I am thinking as long as we catch the UTIs fast enough before it reaches the kidney she should be ok. So far we have been able to do that. Maybe this is a better option that constant antibiotics. I would like to hear from any parents who went through this with their child. Thanks Great community here! |

my goodness, I've never even heard urinary reflux, but it sounds awful! Being on antibiotics that long doesn't sound like a good idea to me either. I hope you can find another solution ~perhaps a different doctor would have some better ideas.
