pneumonia...contagious?

Is it contagious? Aron just called me and told me that skylar was taken to the peds and she has pneumonia. I dont want to bring jenna near her if it is...plus jenna has a cold already...

as fas as I know it is not. but I am not an expert. Maybe google it?

We went through the rounds of pneumonia at the beginning of the winter. It was awful. Yes, it is contagious. The cold that causes it is contagious. The actual illness into the lungs is less contagious but it sure did wipe the kids out for a while. Kristen had it first, then Conner, then Cade got it not as bad. Kristen got it really bad.

With Kristen, he said her lungs sounded okay but he wanted to get a chest xray to be sure and sure enough she had it. Well, then Conner started and he said, "I'm fairly certain he doesn't have it, but since Kristen's xrays surprised us we better check him too" and what do you know.... it was so frustrating because we had to go to another building for the xrays and I was pregnant at the time and was miserable as it was getting close to delivery. I'd probably keep her away if I were you just because I went through it and it wasn't pretty.

yes i think i will keep them apart for a bit. expecially because with anything that imvolves the chest anmd lungs she is so susptible in getting iot. plus she is just starting to get over her cold....
