The only thing a vaporizer does is help your baby become a little more comfortable. You also have to change the water everyday to prevent mold from growing. Some medicines (like Vicks) added to a Vaporizer can cause crankiness and it does stimulate an infant. That is probably why her Ped told her not to use it. --------------------

Diamond Member Group: Members Posts: 27,917 Member No.: 236 Joined: 4-August 03	I can't remember his exact reasoning, it was over 1.5 years ago but if I remember correctly he said their little lungs really can't handle the "harshness" of the vicks because it does stimulate them.
