Jason has a little cold, stuffy nose, runny nose, sneezing, and a little bit of coughing. Anyway, he doesn't have a fever so I wasn't going to bring him into the doc yet. I hate to give him meds during the day because it really knocks him out and I don't really want him sleeping all day.

so, I went to Target and bought him a humidifier at the suggestion of my friends mom. She said it should help with the stuffy nose so he can rest at naptime and sleep better at night. When I got to the store there were soooo many kinds. I ended up gatting a vicks cool mist humidifer...did I get the right one? Do you have one? What kind do you use?

The cool mist ones are supposed to be better. Less chance for the hot steam to burn them and it doesn't grow bacteria as fast. We have the vicks cool mist one and it works pretty well. Just make sure you follow the directions and change out the water at least every other day.

I agree with Amy. We have the Vicks cool mist humidifier, too. You can use the vicks vapor stuff in the vaporizers, but you can't use it in the humidifier. wink.gif

Be careful using the vicks stuff in it. Our ped said that stuff was NOT safe for babies. Now this was when Kylie was a year old. Not sure about age 2, though. I had also read some research that backed up what he said.

Did he say why?
