Ok since I'm new at this, :D

Gold Member Group: Members Posts: 4,117 Member No.: 5,476 Joined: 9-October 06	I read in the "What to Expect When Expecting" book, after I was feeling it. But wanted to bounce it off you guys to see if its really correct. A strange "pulling" feeling in my belly. Almost like stretching maybe? I think the only reason I feel like I'm so tuned in to my body in the belly region is because of my surgery from 2006 where they basically loosed all the "attachments" in my bowls and let everything "be loose". Its a similar strange feeling. Used to be if I laid on my side I could feel everything shift w/gravity (sorry TMI). Its not the same feeling, but I think I'm a little more in tune like I said. Did anybody else feel "pulling" or "stretching" this early? Or am I just crazy? It WAS in that section... --------------------

You will feel lots of stretching/pulling
It's called round ligament pain

Round ligament pain generally refers to a brief, sharp, stabbing pain or a longer-lasting dull ache that pregnant women commonly feel in the lower abdomen or groin, starting in the second trimester. I noticed it most when I was real active.

The round ligaments surround your uterus in your pelvis. As your uterus grows during pregnancy, the ligaments stretch and thicken to accommodate and support it. These changes can occasionally cause pain on one or both sides of your abdomen.

You may feel the pain starting from deep inside your groin, moving upward and outward on either side to the top of your hips. The pain is internal, but if you were to trace it on your skin, it would follow the bikini line on a very high-cut bathing suit.

Work and feeling not so good pretty much all day.

That's been fun.

Luckily I've been keeping everything down.

Went to the first appt and looks like I'm due Aug 16th. My guess was Aug 15th, so pretty much right on

Next appt is not this coming Tuesday but next (27th??)
