Has anyone noticed a difference in AF when you started working out? I used to get really bloated, have awful cramps, and get pretty b*****y right before AF showed up. (Just ask DH on the later laugh.gif ) I was the poster person for Midol.

Anyways, when we were in the routine of working out regularly, I noticed that AF was not as bad. In fact, it was bearable. I think I was still pretty b****y, but the bloating and the cramps were so much better. We got out of the routine of working out this past month, and the awful PMS symptoms returned. I always read that exercise helped with AF, but I never realized what a difference it would make. We've gotten back into the routine of working out again, but now I have another motivation to keep me going. Anyone else notice the same thing?

It actually helps make AF easier when you are working out.

Yes exercise definitley plays a role in our monthly visitors. They also say the if you continue to exercise through the entire cycle, it can assist in your efforts to lose weight and make the cramping and all other symptoms lessen.

Oh absolutely! wink.gif As a matter of fact, I have also gotten out of my routine and noticed how awful I felt last month and how bloated I was. blush.gif It sure is a motivation for me to get back on the treadmill. thumb.gif

I feel SO much better when I workout during AF. The first day of AF I'm usually too crappy feeling to workout but I try to make sure I workout the rest of it's 'stay' so I feel better.

Oh yes! I think exercise plays a huge role in managing hormone levels. It always gives me a little "high", therefore helping me forget how awful I really feel during AF!

It's helped my AF too. Working out while I have AF helps with my cramping.
